My Ski Trips !!!
I skied a few times as a kid, but my passion for skiing really started after my college spring break trip to Breckenridge, Colorado in 2023.
Vail
Colorado, USA
Was defintely in awe at how large Vail is. Beautiful terrain/views. Had some really great skiing in the back bowls, enjoyed the stuff off of Orient Express. On Christmas day they opened up Blue Sky Basin and I got to ski some really nice powder with my girlfriend (at the time) and her family + extended family. I wish I was a better skier for this trip. It was only 2nd trip and I definitely was not able to enjoy everything Vail had to offer at the time. Will definitely revisit Vail in the future.
Hakuba Happo-One
Nagano, Japan
Largest resort in Hakuba Valley. Snow was amazing, and no crazy lines. There was much more varied terrain at Happo. Realistically I should have skied another day at Happo instead of Goryu/47, but I was feeling too lazy for the free 20 minute shuttle ride to Happo from Goryu/47 on the last day—Goryu/47 being a quick 5 minute walk from where I was staying.
Tsugaike Kogen
Nagano, Japan
Unbelievable powder on the day I went here. Easily the best snow I skied on all trip. Had a lot of fun, and met a random kid from Swizterland who was also skiing in Japan for the first time. Him and I did a few laps on some nice powder between some trees.
Valle Nevado
Lo Barnechea, Chile
Summer skiing in South America, wow. The Andes mountains were beautiful!!! Really enjoyed skiing at Valle Nevado, snow was great and lots of varied terrain. Got to do some fun cliff jumps right next to one of the main chair lifts and got to hear some hype from people on the chair. My first time using platter lifts since they were the only way to get up in the back side. Went with a good friend from Tufts that can speak Spanish. Felt like my skiing realy improved on this trip, stoked for Europe in 2026.
Breckenridge
Colorado, USA
Where I had my first real ski trip that got me addicted to skiing! My college spring break trip in March 2023 was awesome. As of the end of 2025, that trip is still the largest group of friends I've gone skiing with (8 friends from Tufts).
Heavenly
California, USA
Awesome view of Lake Tahoe from Heavenly. Snow was pretty good the day I went with my friends. We got lucky and picked the right day to go to Heavenly as there was perfectly clear skies and some fresh snow; the other days before/after had bad weather, and some lift closure due to high winds. Really loved skiing in the Milky Way Bowl
Stowe
Vermont, USA
President's day day trip with two of my best friends from Tufts. We got up at 3AM for the 3hr30min drive to Stowe, nearly caught first chair, and had a great time skiing on some fresh snow from overnight (~4-8 inches).
Hakuba Goryu/47
Nagano, Japan
First time skiing in Asia!!! Definitely got to feel the famous Japanese snow—it snowed pretty much every day while I was in Hakuba. I got to ski with my parents. Food was delicious and cheap—big bowls of ramen for like $10 USD, katsu curry, sushi, etc all at the resort. Very few lines/waiting for the chair. Had a lot of fun at Goryu/47 but wish it had more difficult/interesting terrain. I have a blog post about my experience skiing in Japan.
Northstar
California, USA
First time skiing in California and where else other than Tahoe! Northstar was nice but the snow was not as nice as Japan. On one of the warmer days it 'snowed' and I really got to experience the infamous sierra cement. Northstar's nickname 'flatstar' also proved to be true with most of the mountain being blue crusiers, lacking any true expert terrain (single/double blacks, and more entertaining features like chutes, cliffs, bowls, etc). Did enjoy getting to ski way faster than I had in previous trips, also dabbled in the park with some jumps/boxes and the half pipe. Glade skiing was also solid.
Crotched Mountain
New Hampshire, USA
Quick day weekend trip with 2 friends from Tufts. Snow was pretty bad because of warm weather (luckily there was some snow making but still not great). Also spent most of the morning teaching a friend (new skier).
